AOL: if you're thinking internet provider, you're out of the loop. What was once America Online became AOL, and even more recently merged with Yahoo! to form a new company, Oath. They are one of the largest digital advertisers in the world, directly competing with Google and Facebook. AOL approached us to help put together a video shouting about their algorithm AdLearn - a digital advertising genie in a bottle. AdLearn uses tech that has been developed for nearly 20 years and is leading the pack when it comes to reaching audiences effectively.
The brief was to be a bit provocative as the sales team were finding traditional advertisers put off by all the new-fangled tech. So we came up with an idea involving dinosaurs and fun, brightly coloured illustrations. We signed up one of our favourites, Bee Grandinetti, to create the illustrations. As always she came up trumps!
